How to install Tiles.
Firstly, calculate the area of carpet needed. There are excellent carpet calculator apps available that can help with this. Then clean the surface to be covered thoroughly, otherwise, the tiles will not take to the floor properly.
Next, work out the centre of the room. This can be done easily by drawing chalk lines from the middle of a wall to the opposite wall, and then bisecting with a line from the opposing side walls – where the chalk lines meet is the centre. You can then use the chalk lines to create a grid to lay the tiles in the centre of the room.
Once your chalk grid is complete, remove the protective cover from the back of the tiles and place four tiles in the grid, making sure that the pile is correctly aligned. There is no need to stretch or tack down the tiles. When you have your first tiles laid correctly, lay the rest of the tiles around them for a fitted covering. You may need to trim them so they fit plumb to the walls, but this is easily done with a pair of scissors.
